About the association

A standards body built by the tradespeople it serves

The Association unites independent drywall contractors, plasterers, interior finishing companies and certified master craftsmen working across Rīga and the Latvian regions. Our purpose is straightforward: to make sure that a wall built in Latvia — whether in a Rīga apartment renovation or a regional school extension — meets a documented, defensible standard of workmanship.

We publish technical benchmarks for dry construction and finishing works, run the national craft certification pathway for members, maintain apprenticeship and master-mentorship programmes, and provide independent technical advisory to clients, insurers and public procurement bodies.

Our work covers drywall engineering and load assessment, acoustic and environmental soundproofing, fire-rated partition systems, moisture management in wet rooms, low-VOC and energy-efficient interior materials, and site safety practice for finishing trades.

Sustainable Building Materials

Voices from the field

The people behind the standard

A straight wall is not luck. It is a measured frame, the right board, and a craftsman who refuses to close it up before it is right.

Jānis Ozoliņš

Master Craftsman, Rīga · Member since 2009

When we started certifying our crews, complaints stopped being arguments and became measurements. That changed our whole business.

Ilze Bērziņa

Director, Licensed Contracting Company, Jelgava

My master taught me to feel the plaster before I trust the level. Now I teach the same thing to three apprentices.

Andris Kalniņš

Master Craftsman & Mentor, Valmiera
